Scholarships



GIA offers scholarships for its gemmology, jewellery and design programmes, courses and lab classes.

GIA is currently accepting applications until 30 September 2019. Click here to apply.

  • Apply 1 August – 30 September for scholarships to be used in the following calendar year.
  • Apply 1 February – 31 March for scholarships to be used in the second half of the current year.

U.S. SCHOLARSHIPS

California Jewelers Association Scholarship
Award maximum: $1,000 (£600)
Any Distance Education eLearning courses for California residents only (Carlsbad campus only)

Charles & Erna Leutwyler Scholarship
Award maximum: $18,000 (£11,880)
Any On-Campus programme (Carlsbad campus only)

Color Masters Scholarship
Award maximum: $10,000 (£6,600)

Eunice Miles Scholarship
Award maximum: Full tuition

GIA Scholarship Fund for U.S. Veterans
Award maximum: $3,000
Open to U.S. military veterans including reservists and National Guard personnel.
To qualify, applicants must include proof of US military service. (Carlsbad campus ONLY)
