Why are there two different lights?

The Halo Light is sufficient for most stones. The Flex Light can assist with illuminating the inscription, especially when looking at darker colored stones. It is best to position the Flex Light so that the diamond is between the camera and the light, and to keep the lines on the Flex Light’s filter positioned so that they are vertical. If using the Flex Light, you may want to reduce or turn off the Halo Light to avoid excessive illumination.
