What do pomegranates, rhododendrons, and gooseberries have to do with garnets? Well, they're the basis for names in the garnet family. Want to learn more? Come and join us for our first Garnet lecture, ever!
Our guest speaker, Edward Boehm, will explore one of the most versatile gems available today. Garnets come in a wide range of colors and price points making them an extremely popular gem among designers, retailers, and collectors. This presentation, filled with colorful photographs, will cover their history, gemological properties, and the numerous origins of garnets- Namibia, Tanzania, Nigeria, Kenya, Russia, Sri Lanka, and Mexico.
