With the number of coronavirus cases increasing globally, GIA is taking the necessary precautions to ensure everyone’s health and safety, including reducing our service hours and closing some locations. The situation is changing rapidly so we will update this page as our locations’ hours change.
Current Service Hours
The laboratory is open Monday to Friday from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm. by appointment only for submission and return of polished diamonds. Please email Antwerplab@gia.edu if you have any questions.
If you wish to arrange to have Malca-Amit pick up your "ready for collection” stones from GIA, please email your instructions to Antwerplab@gia.edu or firstname.lastname@example.org. There is no minimum requirement for your collection, but there is a maximum stone value of US $500,000.

The laboratory is open for intake of polished stones with limited staff and modified hours, and clients may submit stones in person with an appointment. To schedule an appointment and receive instructions for stone return, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
School, laboratory and research centre closed
Sunday - Thursday, 9.00 am - 5.00 pm
The laboratory is open with limited staff and modified hours, and is accepting submissions of polished stones up to 0.70 ct. Until 12 June, stones 0.70 ct and above (in separate parcels) can be submitted for grading at other GIA locations. At this time, the laboratory will only accept and return stones using a courier service. For questions, please email email@example.com.
