Greater Cincinnati Chapter: Jade presented by David C. Y. Leung

Join the Cincinnati chapter for a hands-on presentation by David C.Y. Leung, an expert in antique jade carving and period jewelry. He is devoted to exploring the role of jade in Chinese culture and detecting the fundamental differences in jade enhancements. Leung's presentation will review:
- Jade carving, finishing and identification, including various treatments and enhancements
- How to determine if a piece of jade is antique or more modern
- Practical advice for retail sales of jade jewelry, carvings and pieces
Leung, who lives in Hawaii, designs corporate gifts, country club sports tournament awards and custom-made fine jewelry. He is a certified appraiser of the International Society of Appraisers (ISA), a member of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA) and the Hawaii Jewelers Association.
This lecture will help you identify and evaluate jade quality. Be sure to bring your jade pieces and a loupe for the hands-on segment of the lecture. Leung will also have specimens available to view.
