Applied Jewelry Professional Tuition Voucher



Thank you for purchasing GIA Instruments. The tuition voucher you received allows you or one designated staff member from your company to complete the three required courses to earn the GIA Applied Jewelry Professional (AJP) online diploma at no cost.

To earn the AJP, you or the designated staff member must apply to be admitted to GIA Education, be accepted, and register for all three courses by December 31, 2024.

Required Courses

To earn the Applied Jewelry Professional online diploma,  you or the designated staff member must complete three online courses:

  • GEM110 Jewelry Essentials

  • GEM130 Diamond Essentials

  • GEM120 Colored Stone Essentials

Each course must be completed within three months of the start date and can be taken in any order. Once all three courses receive passing grades, you or your designated staff member will receive the AJP diploma.
Please note: if you choose to register for concurrent courses, the maximum completion times will overlap.

Admissions Requirements

To be admitted to GIA's Online Division, applicants must meet the following requirements.

  • Have a high school diploma or the equivalent and be able to provide a copy of the diploma or submit an official transcript.

  • Be at least 16 years of age

  • Applicants who are 16 or 17 years of age must have a parent or legal guardian give consent and sign their enrollment agreement.

  • Have the ability to read and write in English at the level of a U.S. high school graduate.

How to Apply

  • Create an account and sign in to GIA's application portal at www.GIA.edu/applynow

  • Follow the instructions to complete your application and upload your supporting documentation

  • Enter the voucher code found on your tuition voucher in the Discount Code field

  • Review and submit your application

  • A GIA admissions representative will review your application to ensure you meet all requirements and notify you of your acceptance or denial of admission

  • Once you receive the email notifying you of our acceptance, contact GIA Admissions at admissions@gia.edu or (760)603-4001 to register
