Hong Kong Chapter: Zhang Daqian & Chinese Antique Appreciation

Zhang Daqian (張大千) was one of the most prodigious Chinese artists. He was originally renowned for his guohua painting, and later known for his modern impressionist and expressionist painting.

In addition, he was an expert in calligraphy and engraving. He also had developed a strong understanding of poetry appreciation, painting history and painting theory.

Presenter Samson Ng will explain why Zhang Daqian’s work has greatly appreciated in value. Mr. Ng is a Chinese art and antique collector, dealer and appraiser with over 40 years of experience. This seminar will be conducted in Cantonese with no translation.
