Adrian Rubin Foundation Scholarship

The Adrian Rubin Foundation Scholarship is a $1000 scholarship for high school students that have been accepted into a college, university, trade school or design school, or students currently enrolled in a college, university, trade school or design school. This scholarship was created by Adrian Rubin to help the future entrepreneurs of the world with the cost of further study. To apply for the $1000 Adrian Rubin Foundation Scholarship, Adrian Rubin wants to hear your answer to the following question in the form of a 500-word essay: “How do you think technology has improved the world?"

AGS Member Scholarship for GIA Education

The American Gem Society (AGS) has received a generous grant from GIA to fund awards for GIA education to AGS members. This gift allows AGS members scholarships to the prerequisite education required to apply to earn AGS credentials. Award recipients may use funds towards the Applied Jewelry Professional programme, or towards Diamond Grading Lab classes held in New York and Carlsbad.

Female Veteran Grant (Sponsored by Jewelers Mutual)

The WJA is proud to offer a Female Veteran Grant in partnership with Jewelers Mutual. This merit-based grant will be awarded to a deserving U.S. Military veteran to use towards her professional growth within the jewellery and/or watch industries. Applicants do not need to be a WJA Member to apply.

Jewelers of America Scholarships

Jewelers of America (JA) has scholarships available for GIA Distance Education eLearning courses for JA members and their employees. Applicants must be at least 18 years old; have at least one year of experience working at a JA member store or two years working in the jewellery industry and not already be enrolled in another GIA Distance Education eLearning course.

Kalu Yala Scholarship

The Kalu Yala scholarship was created with future entrepreneurs and business people in mind. Applicants will be required to write a 500-word essay on “The Main Benefits of Studying Abroad” to be considered for this $1000 scholarship. A committee will select one winner based on their essay at the end of December.

Live Your Dream Scholarship

The Soroptimist Live Your Dream Awards is the signature project of Soroptimist International of the Americas. Soroptimist International of Oceanside Carlsbad is one of nearly 1,400 clubs that make up Soroptimist International of the Americas, a volunteer organisation for women committed to improving the lives of women and girls through programmes leading to social and economic empowerment. Applications are due each year by 15 November, and are accepted between 1 July 1 and 15 November. Award recipients will be notified between January and June.

The National Association of Jewelry Appraisers

NAJA’s primary purpose is to recognise, and make available, the services of highly qualified, informed, experienced, independent and professional appraisers of gems and jewellery to those members of the public requiring such expertise. In addition, NAJA seeks to promote the trademark and professional designations earned by our members and to make continuing educational materials available in order to ensure that they are among the best informed appraisers in our industry.

RJO Foundation Scholarship

The RJO Foundation, established in 2015, is proud to provide scholarships to encourage the independent retail jeweller to further his/her education. The scholarship is available exclusively to RJO members and is awarded twice per year. Members may apply for the scholarship at any time during the year and recipients will typically be awarded in April and October of each calendar year.

Silver City's Hidden Gems Scholarship

Silver City's Hidden Gems Scholarship is a $500 cash award for students in university, technical school or professional certification programmes such as GIA courses that are interested in pursuing a career in jewellery-related marketing, retail, design or appraisal. The scholarship opportunity is offered quarterly, and we are accepting submissions on a rolling basis until the end of each calendar quarter. Selected winners will be announced once the evaluation process is complete.

Dr. Summit Shah MD Scholarship

Dr. Summit Shah has been a tireless advocate of access to higher education and has founded the Summit Shah Scholarship to ensure that deserving students from all parts of the economic spectrum can reach their academic goals. One student will be chosen to receive a $1,000 scholarship to be applied to their higher learning education. Eligible students are graduating high school students who have been accepted a college, university or trade/vocational school or who are currently enrolled in any major or area of study. To apply for the $1000 Dr. Summit Shah Scholarship please follow the prompts to apply and submit a short essay (500 words or less) sharing some of the professional goals you hope to achieve in the next five years.
