This book is a long-awaited English translation of “Schmuckzeichnen mit GZ,” by the same author. The book is a self-study manual intended for goldsmiths who are interested in acquiring techniques of design illustration in terms of its function. The slim volume includes exercises on crayon illustration, the effects of light and shadow, illustration of jewelry pieces made of several different materials, illustration of opaque and transparent stones, interplay of shape and color, and illustration of pearls, among others. There is also a small section on drawing materials and tools required for the tasks.
