
Four GIA alums have been named “Rising Stars” for the 2013 JCK Las Vegas Show. Each will exhibit their work in the JCK Design Center at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino May 31 through June 3. The JCK Rising Star program identifies emerging artists and highlights their designs to buyers at the show.
“We’re so excited and proud that four of our graduates have been selected as this year’s JCK Rising Stars,” said Bev Hori, vice president of Education and chief learning officer for GIA. "This is a great opportunity for them to showcase their design aesthetics and craftsmanship to some of the industry’s most influential buyers.”
Jason Dow channels his heritage in jewelry designs that integrate ancient Asian motifs with modern and Western concepts.
Cornelia Goldsmith’s designs reflect her enduring love of natural, organic forms that blend ancient and new world sentiments.
