Librarian and Student
Library services can help you connect with the information that you need.
 
Reference – Librarians can help find the answers, or refine the questions, about anything related to gemstones and jewelry.

Reader’s advisory services – Not sure what you need?  Ask us!  We have great suggestions for what to read next.

Customized classroom presentations – We are happy to visit classrooms and connect students with library materials to support their coursework.

Circulation – Borrow books, periodicals, e-books, audiobooks, or videos; most items can be borrowed for a week and renewed three times.

Interlibrary Loan – If GIA staff want to borrow an item that our library doesn’t own, we can request it from another library for you. Contact us to request this service. 

Curated lists  - Librarians can create custom collections or bibliographies of suggested resources, by topic, by class, by format, or anything else.

Displays – We make beautiful and informative displays, featuring our unique library materials – for the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show, for the San Diego County Fair, and here on campus in Carlsbad.
