The First Point of Reference for Gems and Jewelry

Located on GIA’s Carlsbad campus, the Richard T. Liddicoat Gemological Library and Information Center is the largest, most complete library of its kind.

The 8,000-square-foot facility contains a growing collection of more than 38,000 books, 70,000 photographic images, 1,000 videos, 300 international periodicals, and the renowned Cartier Rare Book Repository and Archives to provide “ready reference” in the fields of gemology and jewelry. Every day, GIA’s expert library staff answers questions from jewelers, gemologists, scientists and students all over the world.
