Frequently Asked Questions
I have been selected for federal verification. What does this mean, and what do I next?
The U.S. Department of Education selects approximately one-third of all the GIA financial aid students to go through a verification process. This means you have to verify the information you originally supplied on the FAFSA form. You must provide documentation for certain information (income, household size, etc.) Failure to complete the verification process will result in the cancellation of all financial aid awarded to you.
