Washington D.C. Chapter: Tucson Report with Kusam Malhotra Washington D.C.

Kusam Malhotra, owner of K & K International in Vienna, VA and a vendor at the 2017 AGTA GemFair in Tucson, will speak about her experience at the show. She will discuss current gem prices, what was new in Tucson, new treatment findings and other topics that affect the overall global gem markets. K&K International has been a premier source of rare colored gemstones, fine diamonds and custom-designed jewelry for over 30 years. 

Each year many of the world’s gem and mineral dealers converge on Tucson for what has become one of the largest events in the industry. Since the 1980s, a number of D.C. chapter members have taken a week or two off to see what was new and to stock up on inventory at the more than 30 venues. As Tucson developed into a “must-view” event, and we realized our colleagues represent a cross-section of the trade, we devote the February meeting to a “Tucson Report,” where members who attended can exhibit items they purchased for “show and tell” and discuss their impressions, prices and new trends with others.
