Laboratory Take-In Services at IJT

GIA will offer convenient access to diamond grading and gem identification and country-of-origin report services during IJT.

Submit diamonds and colored stones at the GIA booth and pick up your stones and reports at the GIA laboratory in Tokyo: No expedited services will be available for stones submitted at the show. Colored Stones Seminar

Learn more about colored stones at a free seminar offered Friday, January 25 at 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at IJT. This presentation by Dr. Taku Okada will offer the latest information on colored stones and various treatments currently found in the gem and jewelry trade and the scientific detection at the GIA laboratory. You’ll find out about treatments used such as heat treatments of ruby and sapphire, clarity enhancements of emerald, bleaching and dyeing of jade as well as how GIA detects these treatments and details this information for you in the GIA Colored Stone Report.
