Stiff Chan

Stiff received his Graduate Gemologist diploma from GIA in Hong Kong in 2005, and joined GIA as an instructor in 2012. He has worked in the jewelry industry for more than twenty years in both retail and wholesale sectors. He has attended all major jewelry shows around the world, such as JIS Miami, VicenzaOro Winter, NY JA show, BaselWorld, VicenzaOro Spring, JCK Las Vegas, VicenzaOro Fall, and HK Jewellery & Gem Fair. With this diverse background in the trade, Stiff can share his knowledge and trade experience with students.

Alan Chiu

With more than 30 years of experience in the jewelry industry, Alan has extensive experience in gem sourcing, marketing, jewelry designing and manufacturing, operations, and sales management. He also has extensive teaching experience, gained from teaching part-time gemology courses in the 1980s. He joined GIA in Hong Kong in 2005, and instructs and supports students taking accelerated programs, lab classes, and seminars. As a veteran of the jewelry industry, his aspiration is to share his jewelry experience and knowledge whenever possible.

Jennifer Lam

With a bachelor degree in Illustration from University of Arts London, Jennifer is an award-wining jewelry designer who first discovered her real interest and talents at GIA London where she earned the Graduated Gemologist, Accredited Jewelry Professional and Jewelry Design diplomas in 2006. Specializing in high-end jewelry, she has years of practical experience working with some major international players in the retail, manufacturing, and wholesale sectors of the diamond and colored stones industries. She particularly enjoys inspiring students by sharing her diversified experience in design, jewelry making and gemology.

Annie Lee

Annie earned her degree in Media & Cultural Studies in 2005, and joined GIA in Hong Kong after her graduation. She is responsible for admission and administration work for the education department. She earned both the AJP and Graduate Diamonds diplomas, which help her share the world of gemology with potential students.

Stella Lee

Stella Lee, director of GIA in Hong Kong, earned her GIA Graduate Gemologist diploma in Carlsbad, California and joined GIA right after she graduated. Prior to studying at GIA and serving GIA as an instructor, she was in the jewelry industry wholesale and retail business. She enjoys sharing her experience and passion about the gem and jewelry industry, seeing students grow and find rewarding careers.

Carmen Leung

Carmen earned her master’s degree in Business Management in 2002 in Australia. She then graduated from GIA in 2005, earning a Graduate Gemologist diploma. Before joining GIA as an on-campus instructor, Carmen worked for six years in marketing and retail operation for Boucheron and Chopard. Since 2007, Carmen has been a gemology instructor, sharing her experience in the jewelry industry and her passion for gems and jewelry.

Annie Ng

Before becoming a gemology instructor at the GIA campus in Hong Kong, Annie worked as a pharmacist in Canada. Her love of gems and jewelry brought her to GIA, where she earned the Graduate Gemologist diploma. In 2010, she was hired as an on-campus instructor at GIA in Hong Kong. She enjoys helping students learn while sharing her passion for gems and jewelry.
