Can I submit a mounted coloured stone for analysis?
Yes. The analysis needed to produce a GIA Coloured Stone Identification Report, Origin Report or Analytical Report can be performed on mounted coloured stones. Since the stone is mounted and not loose, all gross weight will be measured in grams rather than carats. Carat weight will be approximate to determine the appropriate fee.
