Natural Diamond Reports
Know with confidence that your D-to-Z diamond is natural with GIA diamond grading reports. Included in the reports is a full 4Cs assessment – colour, cut, clarity and carat weight – along with polish, symmetry and fluorescence. For standard round brilliant cut diamonds, the reports come with a GIA Cut grade. Multiple security features on GIA diamond grading reports ensure their authenticity. Laser inscription available and included with select services.
The GIA Diamond Grading Report includes an assessment of the 4Cs with a plotted diagram of its clarity characteristics and a graphic representation of the diamond’s proportions. Laser inscription is not included but can be requested at the time of servicing.

The Diamond Origin Report includes a full assessment of the 4Cs along with a plotted diagram of its clarity characteristics, a confirmation of geographical origin and laser inscription of the GIA report number for easy identification. This service is only for eligible diamonds, weighing 0.15 carats or more, that have gone through rough analysis with GIA before polishing.

Items must be submitted through web services or My Laboratory using intake import files. Custom inscription service requests must be made at the time of submission.
Service Restrictions
Recheck service only available at the time of original servicing using the Auto-Response programme. Update, Re-Examination and Conversion service to Focus Report not available. Conversion service from Diamond Focus Report to Diamond Grading or Diamond Dossier cannot be requested while the item is in-house. Contact your Client Services Representative for more information.
ADD-ON SERVICES
GIA Add-On Services give you further information or security for your diamond. Must accompany a Report Service or Follow-Up Service. Certain services can be expedited for an additional fee; exceptions will apply.

Personalise, brand or easily identify your diamond. Microscopically inscribe a personal message, symbol, logo or your diamond’s unique GIA report number on its girdle.

If the Colour Origin stated on your GIA report is "Treated Colour", a Diamond Colour Treatment letter can be requested to provide details of the specific colour treatment method.

The Damage Assessment service is offered as a supplement to GIA diamond reports to determine if a diamond has been damaged since its last polishing. Results of the damage assessment are delivered in letter format.

GIA will determine your diamond’s type (Ia, Ib, IIa, or IIb) and contact you with the results. You may also request a letter and photograph of the diamond with your analysis for an additional charge.

Follow-Up Services
Verify, re-evaluate or update results from your original GIA Report through GIA Follow-Up Services. For Diamond Dossier, the diamond must contain the original GIA report number laser inscription.
Request a re-assessment of your diamond’s colour, cut, clarity, colour origin, polish, symmetry, measurements or fluorescence results and a new report will be issued.

Must be requested at the time of service before the item is returned. If requested within sixty days of the item being returned, the original report must be submitted and an Update service must be performed prior to the Recheck or Final Observation. Final Observation service only available for Diamond Grading Report. Recheck service for Diamond Focus Report only available at the time of original servicing using the Auto-Response programme.
Submit your diamond to be regraded based on its current condition. Update Service can accompany Add-On Services such as Sealing or Inscription where a re-evaluation of the diamond is required prior to performing the Add-On Service.

If an item cannot be matched to the original GIA report, it will be resubmitted for grading, a new report will be issued and full grading report fees will be charged. Not available for Diamond Focus Report.
If your GIA-graded diamond has been re-cut, submit your diamond for a Re-Examination. The diamond will go through the grading process and a new report will be issued. The old report will not be returned.

Specialty Services
GIA Speciality Services offer further analysis and information on your noteworthy diamonds. Services are customised with in-depth information specific to your diamond. Various levels of service are available depending on your needs.
The GIA Monograph is a customised gemmological report designed to showcase and celebrate exceptional diamonds. Each monograph comes complete with photographs, detailed grading and identification information, spectroscopic analysis, historical background and other supporting content. The monograph tells the complete story of the diamond and is presented within a handmade box inscribed with the diamond’s name. A USB drive is included that contains a digital copy of the diamond’s story.

Packaged in a hard-bound portfolio, the GIA Portrait Report includes a high-resolution photograph of the diamond, detailed background information unique to the diamond class, and a detailed description of grading and test results.

The Notable Letter accompanies a GIA report and is one to two pages, detailing the attributes of especially noteworthy or unique diamonds. The letter includes a face-up photo, a micro photo and comments on the gemmological properties, such as colour, size and clarity, that make the gemstone unique.

Batch Services
GIA Batch Services utilise GIA-developed technology to analyse and sort diamonds based on varying test types. Minimum submission quantities vary by service.
Separates natural diamonds from simulants, laboratory-grown and potentially HPHT treated natural diamonds for round and fancy-shaped melee. For round melee only, the screened diamonds can be sorted by colour range for an additional charge. Clients can also specify a size range for their round melee parcel.
