The Institute sponsored the International Colored Stone Association's (ICA) annual cocktail party in Tucson. William E. Boyajian, president of GIA, announced plans for Symposium 2006 and Eric Welch, photo editor for GIA, presented a slide show on the recent ICA and GIA trip to Colombian emerald mines.
