Industry Members Visit New GIA Collection Booth

Several pieces from the GIA Collection were put on display during the AGTA Show in Tucson. Items featured in the cases included chemical vapor deposition (CVD) synthetic diamonds, on loan from Apollo Diamonds Inc., red beryl specimens in rough and faceted forms and pieces that were specially designed for the Institute.

Jewelry designer Paula Crevoshay (left)
presents the "Sandia Sunset," an opal and
18-karat gold brooch she gifted to the
Signature Collection, to GIA Museum Director
Elise Misisorowski. The Crevoshay-designed
piece also features two round Mandarin
garnets, red spinel from Burma, a round
