ALUMNI ASSOCIATION - News & Notes
Volume 13, Issue 1 - Winter 2004

NEWS & NOTES

Calling All Grads
All GIA graduates can now be listed on the Alumni Association’s new Online Directory. Whether you earned your diploma via On Campus or Distance Education, take advantage of this opportunity to have your name and credentials posted for all to see.

The new Online Directory was made possible through a grant from Kwiat, Roisen & Ferman. Check out the new Online Directory at www.gia.edu and click on “Alumni Association.” To add your name, contact: alumni@gia.edu

GIA Alumni Mentor Program
Become a GIA Alumni Mentor and help gemology students in your area. Mentors are needed to instruct students on how to use gemological equipment and provide much-needed encouragement.

Six more students signed up for the mentor program since an announcement was made in the Fall 2003 issue of The Loupe, said Rose McKenna, Alumni manager. Students are particularly looking for mentors in Missouri, Kansas and Virginia. Contact the Alumni Association if you’re interested in helping.

Alumni-2-Alumni Benefit Program
Twenty members have joined the Alumni-2-Alumni Benefit Program since planning began last summer. Each will offer discounted services to fellow alums through the program. Members will be able to take advantage of the benefits when the program is officially rolled out in Tucson. Contact the Alumni Association if you would like to participate.
