Final Steps

Managed Account Activities
Clients may request the grading results via phone, fax, or email prior to the diamond being returned. To perform these managed account activities, Gemological Services staff gain access to client and grading information only after grading has been finalized.

Report Processing and Item Return
A GIA Report is generated once all grading is finished and services are completed. The report is examined and proofread to ensure quality and proper assembly.

In the final step, the diamond is returned to its original parcel paper, joined with its report, and tested and inspected to ensure that the correct item is returned to the client who submitted it.

Clients may pick up their diamonds in person or arrange to have them transported via courier. All the information recorded for the diamond remains stored in our permanent database for future reference.
