English Proficiency
Hong Kong

On-campus applicants must demonstrate English proficiency in at least one of these five ways:

  • Earn a grade E or above in English Language (Syllabus B) or Level 2 or above in English Language on the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE)
  • Obtain a minimum score of 500 on the paper-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), 173 on the computer-based TOEFL, or 61 on the internet-based TOEFL. TOEFL scores are valid for two years from the date of the examination
  • Obtain a score within Band 5 or higher on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test. IELTS scores are valid for two years from the date of the examination
  • Obtain a minimum grade of "B" on the Cambridge CAE exam
  • Submit proof of graduation from a secondary school (high school) or college/university where English is the language of instruction
