Jewelry Design
You’re a genius!
You’ve got great ideas. Now, imagine seeing those ideas alive and real, right in a jewelry display at Tiffany & Co.; or imagine yourself advising top executives at Bvlgari about the direction and theme of this season’s fashion jewelry line.
At the very soul of the jewelry industry lies the designer – the one who dares to ask “what about this?” and then draws it and offers it to the world to adore and love.
GIA’s Jewelry Design course teaches you how to take your great ideas and illustrate them just like professional designers. You’ll gain an understanding of jewelry design theory and artistry. As you become experienced with various drafting techniques, you’ll learn how to illustrate shape, form, and texture of yellow and white metal and how to render faceted gems, diamonds and pearls.
Students leave the Jewelry Design course with a portfolio of great designs to show potential employers, along with the confidence needed to rise to the top of the jewelry industry’s domain of creativity.
