For more than two hundred years, Bangkok has been the political, social and economic center of not only Thailand but for much of South East Asia and Indochina, as well. Bangkok – home to GIA’s campus – is also at the heart of the world’s ruby and sapphire capital and is a major gem cutting and jewelry manufacturing center.
