Presentation outline: Introduction of principals of enhancements (history) for the emerald.  A slide presentation of the mining operations in Afghanistan, Colombia, Brazil and Zambia. A slide presentation on cutting and enhancing of emeralds.  Establishing the criteria for evaluating emeralds. Natural emeralds with various degrees of enhancements shown under the microscope (live). Learn more about the details of emerald mining and the process involved in getting the final product out into the market.  See what rough emeralds look like and learn about the steps involved in the emerald enhancement treatment process.

Note:  Mr. Groom has offices, laboratories and manufacturing facilities in Bogota, Colombia, Kabul, Afghanistan, Ridgewood, NJ and New York, NY.

Will speaker offer items for sale? No.

Does speaker ask for an honorarium? No; reimbursement for travel expenses is appreciated, but not required.
