Presentation outline: Innovations and creations by Cartier during this highly creative period (1910-1940).  Descriptions/influences during various art deco styles: Black & White; Chinoiserie; Indian and Persian; and Egyptian Revival. Rubies from Kashmir - (my experience as 1 of 11 people to be the first to explore these mines). Characteristics and inclusions in sapphires from Kashmir.

Computer with PowerPoint, projector, screen and laser pointer.  Depending on lecture, microscopes and gem testing equipmentl.
