Presentation outline: Barbara Berk explores the tapestry of art and design, tools and technology required to create contemporary jewelry, sculpture and objects, by weaving, twining, braiding, lace-making, knitting and crocheting gold, platinum, silver and other metals. She discusses the hand-weaving techniques she uses to create her award-winning, signature high karat gold and platinum jewelry, and surveys the work of a broad range of artists, studio jewelers and manufacturers.
